]]> Due to the forecast of strong showers, 51ÁÔÆæ’s Children’s Play Day at the Zoo has been postponed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

The event will now take place on Saturday, May 3, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Gladys Porter Zoo.

]]> Demolition work on the water tower located next to the Safety and Security Building on Ridgely Rd is scheduled to begin by the end of next week, Friday, September 26. The project is expected to take approximately 4 weeks to complete. During this time, a section of Ridgely Road will be closed to through traffic. Please review the detour routes on the map below to plan your access to buildings and parking lots along the closure route.

Please note that weather and wind conditions may affect the overall timeline. We’ll continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
