51���� celebrated the signing of Celeste Martinez to the TSC Women’s Soccer team at IDEA Robindale College Preparatory in Brownsville, Texas, on February 17, 2026. Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and classmates, Celeste achieved a major milestone as she officially committed to continue her academic and athletic career as a Scorpion.

51���� celebrated the kickoff of its Centennial Celebration with a vibrant Conjunto Festival on the TSC campus on January 17, 2026. The free, community-wide event featured the Battle by the Rio student duo competition and finals, followed by a full-day Conjunto Concert Series on the South Lawn.

Students, families, and community members came together to enjoy live music, local vendors, and performances headlined by Michael Salgado and special guest Sunny Sauceda, highlighting the rich cultural traditions of the Rio Grande Valley.

51���� celebrated its Nursing Pinning Ceremonies on December 11 in the SET-B Lecture Hall. The day honored the achievements of TSC’s graduating nurses, beginning with the ADN Pinning Ceremony at 4 p.m., followed by the LVN Pinning Ceremony at 6 p.m. Surrounded by faculty, family, and friends, students marked this significant milestone as they prepare to enter the healthcare profession.

51���� celebrated the achievements of student-athletes Miguel Campos and Raul Lopez during a joyful signing ceremony at TSC’s Oliveira Building. Surrounded by classmates, coaches, and family both athletes officially committed to continuing their collegiate soccer careers at four-year universities. The ceremony highlighted TSC’s ongoing dedication to helping local student-athletes advance academically and athletically, marking a milestone moment for the Scorpions’ soccer program.

51���� hosted a special Graduate Music Recital at the TSC Performing Arts Center on December 11, featuring a solo performance by music student Anthony Hudgins. This milestone event celebrated Anthony as the first graduate of the TSC Music Program. In addition to his musical achievements, he also serves as an Administrative Assistant in the TSC Marketing Department.

51���� celebrated the accomplishments of its newest Police Academy graduates during a joyful ceremony at the TSC Performing Arts Center on Dec. 6, 2025. Family members, friends and supporters filled the auditorium as graduates proudly received recognition for completing their rigorous training. The event highlighted the cadets’ commitment to service, resilience and professionalism as they prepared to step into roles protecting and supporting the community.

51���� proudly participated in the 73rd Annual Brownsville Christmas Parade in Downtown Brownsville on December 6. Riding atop our TSC float, members of the TSC Board of Trustees and our TSC President shared holiday cheer with the community.

51���� celebrated the start of the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Oliveira Parking Lot on December 3. The evening featured festive performances, including a special appearance by our Little Scorpions, TSC Texas ACE Conjunto “La Conquista de la Rivera”, TSC Texas ACE “Perkins Middle School Dance Team”, San Benito High School Flute Ensemble, and remarks from TSC Board Chair Adela G. Garza, and TSC President Dr. Jesús Roberto Rodríguez. Attendees enjoyed music, dancing, food, a Santa photo op, and joyful moments with family and friends, culminating in the lighting of the campus tree.

51���� held its’ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pinning Ceremony for Brownsville Independent School District (BISD) students at the TSC Performing Arts Center on Monday, November 17, 2025. This special occasion marked a proud milestone as students were honored for completing their CNA training and preparing to enter the healthcare field with compassion and care.

In attendance were TSC Trustee Edward C. Camarillo and TSC President Dr. Jesús Roberto Rodríguez, who joined in recognizing the students’ hard work and commitment.

51���� was proud to be part of the annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing held at the Jacob Brown Auditorium on November 11, 2025. This heartwarming community tradition brings together friends, families, and neighbors for a free holiday meal filled with food, music, and celebration.

The H-E-B Feast of Sharing is part of the company’s Hunger Relief Program, which has served millions of meals and donated over 1 billion pounds of food to organizations across Texas and Mexico. TSC is honored to support this impactful event that strengthens our community and spreads holiday cheer to thousands.
