Congratulations to our Texas Southmost College President, Dr. Jesús Roberto Rodríguez!

Dr. Jesús Roberto Rodríguez was recently appointed to the Texas School Safety Center Board. Dr. Rodríguez is one of four members recently selected to serve on the 17-member board, which provides ...state-wide guidance on school safety and security.

“It is an honor to be appointed to the Texas School Safety Center Board,” Rodríguez said. “I look forward to working with my colleagues across the state to continue to promote safe and healthy environments in our K-12 schools and institutions of higher education.”

The board meets throughout the year and reports to the governor, the Texas Legislature, the State Board of Education, and the Texas Education Agency. It also advises the Texas School Safety Center on its function, budget, and strategic planning.

After her career at Veterans Memorial Early College High School, Deisy is taking the next step and continuing her academic and athletic journey at Texas Southmost College.

Her hard work, perseverance, and commitment have opened the door to collegiate soccer, and we are excited to have her ...represent the Scorpions.
