The camp is designed to scout and evaluate participants for their athletic suitability to play soccer at a collegiate level.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This Fall semester, TSC officially launched the inaugural season for their new National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) men\u2019s and women\u2019s soccer teams. With the season concluding in late October, the team shifted their focus to recruitment efforts. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A key recruitment strategy is to be on the lookout for new talent, and soccer camps like the one hosted by the Scorpions give valley high school students an opportunity to show what they\u2019ve got.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis I.D. camp is designed for us to help us get a good look at several new athletes and identify any standout talent for our upcoming seasons,\u201d said 51ÁÔÆæ Scorpions head coach Mario Zamora. \u201cWe want to continue identifying and recruiting the best of the best within the RGV. That\u2019s our goal here.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligible participants must be students from 9<\/span>th<\/span> through 12<\/span>th<\/span> grade, and there will be a $20 registration fee.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
