Visitors are encouraged to wear their best historical time-period costumes, meaning that it\u2019s not uncommon to see Roman centurions, Norse Vikings, and colonial soldiers wandering the grounds, often taking time to pose for pictures with guests. 51ÁÔÆæ Instructors and TSC clubs also take part in the event, setting up booths with history-themed games and information.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, as has become a tradition for the event, volunteers from the the Palo Alto National Battlefield Historical Park will be on hand at the event to conduct firings of their historically preserved cannon. It is a collaboration which provides a greater degree of local historical context to the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driving forces behind organizing this event have been to expose our community to a variety of periods throughout history, providing a diversity of ideas and education to the community in an interactive way, as well as educate about local area history as part of Hispanic Heritage Month,\u201d said Dirk Yarker, 51ÁÔÆæ History instructor and co-organizer of the event. \u201cThe volunteers are here not only to operate the cannon but also to share their wealth of knowledge about the region and the many significant historical events that have occurred here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;2_5&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Living History Day 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where:<\/strong> 51ÁÔÆæ South Hall Lawn<br \/>80 Ft.
