51ÁÔÆæ’s Ambassador Conference brought together counselors and educators from various Region One schools from July 16-18, 2025, in order to give them an up close and personal look into the variety of different programs, facilities and amenities that the college offers its students. They will now take that knowledge, as well as their experiences, and share it with their students, giving them more information about the potential educational and career pathways that await them at TSC. Over the course of three days, visiting counselors toured campus facilities, explored workforce and academic programs, and gained valuable insight into TSC\u2019s dual credit offerings, student services, and enrollment pathways.<\/p>\n Designed to strengthen connections between TSC and local high schools, the Ambassador Conference provides counselors with firsthand knowledge of the resources and opportunities available to their dual credit students. From registration guidance to financial aid options, the event equips attendees to better advise students as they consider starting or continuing their higher education journey at TSC.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Ambassador Program is a program that we bring people together from different school districts, which is staff, counselors, principals, and anyone else who is invited for this program. This event serves a purpose in which we can better serve our students in the valley, not just dual credit programs but any of the CTE programs which TSC has put together to offer to students in our community,\u201d said Ruth Torres, Director of High School Programs at TSC.<\/p>\n Held at TSC\u2019s Fort Brown campus, the first day of the conference began with a formal welcome and informational sessions hosted by departments including Institutional Effectiveness & Educational Technology (IEET), Counseling and Student Accessibility Resources, and High School Programs & Student Recruitment.<\/p>\n Counselors were then introduced to aspects of student life, including a tour of the Game Room, a musical showcase by TSC\u2019s music faculty at the Performing Arts Center, and a visit to the Recreation Center to see the college\u2019s various athletics facilities.<\/p>\n Day two began at the Ruben Herrera Legal Center, where attendees observed a mock trial before participating in a walking tour of Fort Brown\u2019s historic buildings.
